For me, good graphic design is the perfect balance between clarity and aesthetics. It’s not just about making things look appealing—it’s about organizing information in a way that is accessible, engaging, and meaningful to the viewer. Visual hierarchy, structure, and typography are essential tools to guide the audience through content and help them absorb complex ideas with ease.
During my time working at Revista NET, I had the opportunity to apply this philosophy to editorial design. We covered diverse topics such as social justice, health, economy, technology, art, and culture—many of which involved data and abstract concepts. I was responsible for organizing and presenting this information in a digestible way for the average reader. This often included designing infographics, creating visual structures, and developing layouts that improved readability.
Additionally, I created the principal illustrations for each article, including the main visual for the interior and the cover image for the magazine’s two monthly issues. These images had to visually synthesize complex themes into a single, powerful idea that captured attention and communicated the essence of the story.
For me, good design informs, inspires, and connects—both intellectually and emotionally—with its audience.
