uniE608 Rotherham Minster History & Development Fund Video
Client: Rotherham Minster Date: April 2025 Overview: In support of Rotherham Minster's efforts as a community hub tackling socioeconomic barriers faced by the local community, and to promote Rotherham Minster's Development Fund, I spearheaded the production of Tiny Monks & Saxon Coffins: The Historical Secrets of Rotherham Minster. I conducted extensive research into the history of the church in order to write the video script. I also collaborated with members of staff to coordinate access to areas of the building which are usually off-limits to, and therefore rarely seen by, the general public in order to bring the unique and little-known history of Rotherham Minster to light. I oversaw videography and video production, conducted by James Young, to ensure high production value.
paper Telos Lighting Articles & Guides
Client: Telos Lighting Date: December 2024 - April 2025 Overview: I wrote a series of news articles, case studies, instructional and scientific technical guides to support the launch of Telos' new website. The article on Telos Dynamic 2400 was submitted to national and international technology publications to promote the grow lights' optimised spectrum and functionality for largescale horticultural facilities. The case studies highlight the success of Telos' legacy products, such as the Telos 0008 V1.1 grow light, which continue to be used by video production studios associated with the BBC and in butterfly enclosures at Stratford Butterfly Farm. I wrote the instructional and scientific technical guides to support the launch of Telos Dynamic, the latest generation of grow lights, and the Growcast and Telos Light Controller, their lighting control products.
paper The Twelve Herbs of Christmas.
Client: Hillingdon Museums & Archive Date: December 2023 Overview: I supported the Archivist at Hillingdon Museums & Archives, Sarah Harrison, by conducting research and producing this booklet, The Twelve Herbs of Christmas, for a festive event at Eastcote House Gardens, in Pinner, northwest London. The event included a talk on the history of the stately home, its kitchen garden, and the various herbs and spices now popular in festive cooking. I used digitised medieval scrolls and illuminated manuscripts to collate historical recipes using herbs and spices grown within the walled kitchen garden of Eastcote House. I also used secondary sources to trace the origins, medicinal uses, and other historical information about these select festive seasonings.
paper Social History Research: Hayes, West Drayton, and Ickenham.
Client: Hillingdon Museums & Archive Date: July 2022 Overview: I supported the Archivist of Hillingdon Museums & Archive, Sarah Harrison, in conducting research into the history of Hayes, West Drayton, and Ickenham in northwest London. This research heavily relied on census records, newspapers, governmental documents, articles, and books to gather general historical data about the area's development and various uses for individual buildings throughout the 20th century.
paper Socioeconomic History: 20th Century Food Pricing & Uxbridge Research.
Client: Hillingdon Museums & Archive Date: October 2022 Overview: I supported the Archivist of Hillingdon Museums & Archive, Sarah Harrison, in conducting research into the history of Uxbridge High Street, in the London Borough of Hillingdon, and food prices within the area throughout the 20th century. This research heavily relied on census records, newspapers, governmental documents, articles, and books to gather general historical data about the area's development and to create a timeline of individual addresses from the High Street.
paper Inclusive Management Practices for Employment of Journalists with Disabilities.
Client: Agam Shah Date: August 2023 Overview: I assisted this client with their research and writing of this white paper on implementing inclusive management practices in the employment of disabled journalists globally. The article highlights multilateral barriers for disabled journalists, notably physical restrictions related to field work or strict in-office work policies, or barriers related to gaining and retaining work due to employers' limited disability awareness, preconceptions, or lack of inclusive work infrastructure. This article relied on current statistics, national legislation from the UK, U.S.A., and Canada, and research conducted by key stakeholders such as the U.S. Department of Labour, the UK Department for Work and Pensions, the BBC, the National Union of Journalists, and the International Labour Organization.
    paper Social History Research: Ruislip.
Client: Hillingdon Museums & Archive Date: October 2022 Overview: I supported the Archivist of Hillingdon Museums & Archive, Sarah Harrison, in tracing the history of Ruislip, a suburb in the London Borough of Hillingdon in northwest London. The research predominantly focused on the development of the area throughout the 20th century. This research heavily relied on census records, newspapers, governmental documents, articles, and books to gather general historical data about the area's development and to create a timeline of individual addresses. I also promoted public engagement through local social media groups. I made requests from group members for vintage photographs and local stories (used with permission).

The research predominantly focused on the various uses of buildings from their construction - usually in the early 20th century - to the modern day.
