I am Nicole Auf der Maur, a Creative Visual Designer with more than 10 years of experience working with some of the biggest media companies in Switzerland. My specialization lies in Illustration and Motion Design, where I blend creativity with strategic thinking to bring visual concepts to life.
After completing my education as a graphic designer and obtaining my Bachelor’s degree in scientific illustration, I worked for over 10 years for the Swiss Radio and Television.
In 2020, I relocated to Bali and have been living here with my Indonesian husband and daughter for over 4 years while freelancing for some of the largest media companies in Switzerland.

New concept and design for 20 Minuten news on digital advertising screens in Swiss train stations and public transport
20 Minuten is launching a completely revamped presence on Digital-out-of-Home (DOOH) screens at major German-speaking Swiss train stations and across several public transport networks. The news content is now tailored regionally, featuring images, animations, and breaking news, carefully selected and curated by the editorial team specifically for these screens. This enhancement ensures that 20 Minuten news on DOOH screens provides real added value for commuters.
Design and development of an explainer piece on invasive insects for SRF Einstein.
Through international travel and global trade, invasive insects are introduced into new regions. In Switzerland, species like the Asian tiger mosquito, Japanese beetle, and other pests are spreading rapidly, posing threats to forests, agriculture, and human health. SRF Einstein reveals the enormous efforts being made to combat these invaders.
I did creating the social concept for the “20 Minuten” media Company. Everything from a united profile pictures concept for the different channels until the template for all the futur posts and stories. As a Visual content creator I am dedicated to providing professional and strategic visual solutions that enhance our clients’ brand presence online.
The recent project, SRF Zwangsmassnahmen, showcases illustrations of 2 cases of enforced measures in Switzerland. The report by SRF Investigativ highlights the issue in Swiss psychiatry through these 2 cases, providing valuable insights into the situation.
SRF Pushback is an illustrative project by Schweizer Radio und Fernsehen that delves into the issue of refugees and their journey from Greece to Italy. The project, titled Pushback, aims to provide an investigative look into the challenges and dangers faced by refugees during their crossing.
In 2024, I was approached by SRF for the documentary series Cold Case Switzerland, not only to create illustrations and animations, but also to develop an illustration concept that the in-house team could implement themselves
