Nate Sassoon

Hi, I’m Nate Sassoon, a music producer for video games with over 10 years of experience producing music in Reaper. I’m a classically trained pianist with about 20 years of performance experience in the USA, UK, Mexico, Russia, and France. I’m a multi-instrumentalist, recording electric and acoustic guitar, bass, drums/percussion, cello, fiddle, and other instruments for theatre, film, and private commissions. I also have professional experience as a concert performer and a recording artist, with a video game music reel and a selection of notable game scores.

My personal mission is to create music which serves as a uniquely distinct fingerprint for each game. When I work on games, I never produce horror, sci-fi, 8-bit, or any other generic genre. Instead, I craft a custom-tailored score with its own individual style, molded to the identity of the game itself. It is the experience of playing and knowing the game that determines the style, musical themes, melodies, sound palette, and rhythmic choices.
