Background Artist Supervisor at Surfing Giant Ltd

As a Background Artist supervisor it is my job to ensure the background designs, within whatever show/production I am working on, are of the highest quality. It is important to pay attention to the smallest details, which will captivate the audience with beautiful imagery that sets the scene. I work very closely with the art directors or clients, to try and bring their idea to life, whether this is from a script or from a series of small references/thumbnails. The work has to be of the highest standard and yet meet the often very tight deadlines of network TV. A very challenging, but very rewarding part of the job! It also involves managing a small team of other background artists, providing them with help and feedback to make sure all of the needs are met, and very importantly they are enjoying what they are doing.
