I have been part of El Colegio Invisible for over five years, working on the show since its early days on Onda Cero. I contributed as Sound Engineer, Sound Designer, and Re-recording Mixer, playing a key role in defining and evolving its distinctive sonic identity.
My work spans the entire audio process — from recording and sound design to dialogue treatment and final mix — with a strong focus on creating immersive, atmospheric storytelling that enhances the narrative experience.
Over time, El Colegio Invisible has grown into a major success, reaching over 20 million downloads across all platforms while continuing its broadcast on national radio. The project stands as a strong example of high-quality audio storytelling adapted seamlessly between radio and digital formats.
Politically, Antarctica is a unique place. Nations around the world have agreed to preserve it as a territory dedicated to peace, science, and environmental protection. In other words, its use is strictly limited to peaceful purposes. But is this spirit truly genuine, or merely an illusion?
The filmmakers follow scientists, military personnel, activists, and diplomats from Spain, the United States, Russia, Portugal, Chile, and Argentina in search of answers to key questions: who controls the oldest ecosystem on Earth? Is there a covert competition for the exploitation of its valuable natural resources? Could Antarctica become the stage for the next global conflict, or does it stand as an example of peaceful international cooperation?
The documentary combines breathtaking natural landscapes with sharp political insight, balancing moments of humor with in-depth analysis. The original score was composed by Javier Weyler, former drummer of Stereophonics.
I worked on the project as Sound Designer, Re-recording Mixer, and Audio Lead, overseeing the full audio pipeline. My role ranged from designing the recording system deployed in Antarctica to leading the dialogue editing team and supervising all stages of audio post-production. I was also responsible for the final 5.1 surround mix, crafting an immersive and cohesive sonic experience. In addition, I served as a producer, contributing to both the creative direction and overall execution of the project.
