Hi, I’m Nick Stringer, an Emmy‑winning filmmaker who produces and directs documentary films for terrestrial and streaming broadcasters including the BBC, Netflix, 20th Century Fox, Disney+ and PBS. My work spans presenter-led, observational and blue‑chip natural history documentaries as well as theatrical features. I’ve produced and directed titles such as Wilding, Evolution for PBS, Baby Sharks in the City, Life on the Edge, South Downs, A Year in the Wildwood and Turtle – The Incredible Journey, among many others. I also freelance as an executive producer and director with Passion Pictures and previously helped establish Big Wave Productions as a leading documentary house. I edit many of my own films using Premiere Pro, Avid and Resolve.
I’m passionate about immersive storytelling, collaborates across development, production and post‑production, and I’ve built a career bridging science, nature and audience engagement for broadcasters and streamers alike. I’ve been recognized with an Emmy and multiple other awards for my work, and I continue to pursue ambitious projects that explore wildlife, landscapes and the people who depend on them.
