I’ve spent years designing, building and improving meaningful digital experiences that genuinely help people capture, protect and reconnect with the moments that matter most.

An order-ahead app for Blyde Welcome, an independent coffee shop in Lerwick, letting customers browse the menu, customise their drink, and pay in advance so it’s ready when they arrive. The app connects directly into Square for payments and point-of-sale, keeping everything in sync on the shop’s end.
This one covers the full loop of a small hospitality business — from the customer’s phone right through to the till — rather than just a front-end app sitting on its own.
The website for my own company, MeTi Digital, built to represent the business itself rather than a single client project. It needed to show off the range of work — web design, app development, and branding — while making it easy for potential clients to get in touch.
Since I am both the designer and the client here, it’s a direct showcase of my own style and standards, with nothing diluted by outside input.
A website built for Norland Guest House, designed to give guests a clear, welcoming first impression and make it easy to find the information they need before booking a stay.
The site was kept clean and image-led, letting the rooms and setting do the talking, with straightforward navigation so visitors can get from browsing to booking without any friction.
A ticket sales website built for the local Royal British Legion, letting people buy tickets to events online instead of relying on in-person or phone sales. It’s now hosted as Legion Tickets under its own subdomain.
The build needed to handle real transactions cleanly and reliably, so the focus was on a straightforward, trustworthy checkout experience that anyone could use without confusion.
A website designed and built for Sandwick Community Hub, giving the local community a clear, easy-to-use online home to find information, events, and updates about the hub.
The build focused on keeping things simple and accessible for a community audience of all ages, rather than over-designing it — form followed function throughout.
A booking and day sheet app built for local taxi drivers, designed to replace paper day sheets with something faster and easier to manage on the go. Drivers can log jobs, track fares, and keep everything organised without the usual pen-and-paper hassle.
Built end-to-end as a freelance project, it’s a good example of solving a real, practical problem for a small trade business rather than just building something for the sake of it.
The official website for Meti – Moments Enclosed in Time, my own published iOS & Android app. The site was built to introduce people to what Meti actually does — let them lock away photos, videos, and voice notes to unlock again in the future — and to turn curious visitors into people who actually download the app.
Since this is my own product, I had full control over the design and build, start to finish. The focus was on keeping it calm and emotional rather than corporate, matching the feel of the app itself, with clear app store links throughout so the journey from website to download is simple.
It’s a good showcase of building a brand and its digital presence together, not just a website sitting apart from the product it represents.
A full website build and ongoing social media management for The Postbox, a new fine dining restaurant opening in Perth. The site was designed to feel as polished as the dining experience itself — clean, elegant, and easy for guests to book a table on any device.
Alongside the website, I built out a weekly social media plan and manage the day-to-day posting, telling the story of the restaurant, the building, and Chef Andrew Spence’s food in the run-up to opening and beyond. Every post ties back to driving bookings through the site.
It’s a good example of taking a brand from the ground up — from the first line of code to the content that brings it to life online.
A full website design and build for the Shetland Tourism Association, created to give the organisation a fresh, modern home online and to properly showcase everything Shetland has to offer visitors.
The old site was outdated and hard to navigate, so the focus was on a clean redesign that felt easier to use and looked more professional. I handled every part of the project myself — from the initial design through to the full development and launch.
The result is a site that’s fast, mobile-friendly, and built to actually represent the tourism industry across the islands, rather than just list information. It’s now live and in use as the association’s main platform.
