The concept explores the transition from digital chaos to clarity through glitch distortion, kinetic typography, scanline textures, architectural minimalism, and cinematic lighting. The visual progression moves from fragmented industrial environments into brighter, more open spaces — representing freedom as a process of breaking through noise, control, and limitation.
The goal was to build a flexible motion language capable of working both as an independent visual piece and as a modular sequence adaptable to future projects, edits, and storytelling directions.

What happens when you swipe away physical reality and get lost in the digital matrix? This animation is a visual journey that bridges the gap between a grounded sci-fi world and a high-speed, cyberpunk data stream. The sequence begins in a quiet spaceship cabin, where a glowing glitch overlay and a tracked cyan energy trail act as the trigger for a complete system override. To bring this transition to life, the goal was to build relentless forward momentum. I rotoscoped the original monitor to detach it from the background, using a 2.5D spatial rotation to smoothly hinge the screen back and reveal a fully modeled 3D laptop chassis from the shadows. As the hyperspace wind accelerates and the "STATIC" typography flies past, the physical hardware is violently shredded into a glowing cyan wireframe grid. It’s a literal deconstruction of the physical world into raw digital code—the "DESIGN"—before the system ultimately shatters, leaving us in unrestricted "FREEDOM."
Here is a breakdown of the VFX and compositing on my latest dimension-hopping animation:

To bring this vision to life, I pushed Mixed Media to the limit. The workflow blends raw Live-Action Footage with 3D Compositing to ground the astronaut in reality. I used aggressive Kinetic Typography and Data-Moshing to visualize the city's noise, before transitioning into a clean 2D Cel Animation style to symbolize the freedom of the final creative workspace.

In this experimental montage, created for FilmSupply's EditFest contest, I weave stock footage into a tapestry of profound distortions—astronauts adrift in neon-lit voids, masked crowds dissolving into ethereal portals, and solitary figures scaling impossible horizons.
Alternating between masculine and feminine figures, the piece explores distorted relationships and emotional entanglements that echo the distortions we encounter in real life, blurring the lines between connection and isolation.
These carefully curated stock images speak for themselves, conveying raw emotion and evoking a sense of wonder, isolation, and introspection.
The editing pulses with rapid cuts and seamless transitions, crafted in Adobe Premiere Pro, while the mesmerizing glitchy effects, color grading that shifts from fiery sunsets to icy blues, and layered overlays were sculpted in Adobe After Effects to evoke a post-apocalyptic dreamscape.
Inspired by themes of isolation, change, and the mystical unknown, this piece challenges perception: What lies beyond the veil of our augmented world?
