Leon O'Callaghan

I’m a documentary filmmaker and storyteller with a passion for human-interest narratives and research-led practice. I bring together creative vision and technical know-how to tell authentic, impactful stories across documentary, promotional, and social media campaigns. I work as a self-employed videographer and content creator, building engaging projects that connect with audiences while staying true to the people and places at the heart of every story.

Through my work at LJMU and Hope University and my hands-on project work (including charity fundraisers and community storytelling around the UK coast), I’ve developed strong research, critical thinking, and collaboration skills. I aim to nurture client relationships, lead creative problem-solving, and adapt styles and tones for different platforms while maintaining ethical documentary practice.
