OLO (Aleksander Tomaszkiewicz) is a Polish-born cellist, music producer, vocal producer and audio engineer based in London. With a background rooted in both classical performance and modern music production, his work blends emotional storytelling, refined musicality, and contemporary sound design across pop, R&B, soul, electronic, alternative, and cinematic music. OLO studied cello performance at the Musik-Akademie Basel in Switzerland before continuing his education at the Abbey Road Institute in London, where he developed his production and engineering practice. Before transitioning into music production, he built an international career as an award-winning cellist, performing across Europe, North America, and Australia with orchestras and independent artists. In 2012, he won the Young Musician of the Year award at the TVP Polish National Competition, broadcast nationally in Poland. As a producer and vocal producer, OLO specialises in working closely with singers and artists to help shape authentic performances, emotionally resonant recordings, and distinctive artistic identities. His approach focuses on creating a supportive and inspiring studio environment where artists feel confident, creatively open, and deeply connected to their music. His work includes award-winning film composition and production for Blindman’s Buff (2019), recognised at the Hollywood Short Film Festival and Short to the Point International Film Festival, as well as collaborations with artists including Nadia Maria, Carmela Endrizzi, Thea Fitzgerald, Matt Zerek and Paije Richardson. He also received the Newcomer Award at Sound Clinic Basel in 2024 for his work with Swiss artist Nadia Maria. Alongside his ongoing production work, OLO is currently building a Dolby Atmos recording studio in London focused on immersive music production, vocal recording, and artist-centred creative collaboration.
