I am a dedicated teacher and children's book author-illustrator with more than a decade of experience in education and the creative fields. I love sharing my process in book-making, collaborating with colleagues, and inspiring kids to read, write, and make art. I work to bring imagination to life in classrooms and libraries, and I enjoy helping young readers discover their own creative voices. I've illustrated several books and written two, including a project slated for publication in 2028 called My Ancestors and Me. Over the years I have taught in diverse classroom settings—from Resource Rooms and Inclusion classrooms to Self-contained Special Education and Fourth/Fifth Grade classrooms. I also serve as an art teacher for Grades K-5 and have built substitute roles.
