My name is Paul and I’m a freelance designer from Glasgow, Scotland.

I’ve been a professional designer for nearly 20 years, both in a studio environment, and more recently, on a freelance basis, trading under the name ‘Passenger 8 Design’
I specialise in vector-based designs and illustrations, and have put these skills into practice in numerous ways over the years including educational mural illustration, vehicle wrap design and corporate branding.

Albo Group

Albo Group wanted a friendly face along with a retro-themed logo which could then be incorporated into a wrap design for their plumbing services. They were looking for an art style reminiscent of 1950's Americana, to produce imagery that is both appealing and memorable. They wanted a mascot which provided an easy visual identifier as to what services they provided, which could be isolated and used in other parts of their marketing, such as on their Socials and corporate clothing.

Brehemian Burns

Burns Night has been a Scottish tradition for over 200 years, and Brewhemia were looking for a new campaign for their 2022 event. The intent was to depict The Bard with a Brewhemia twist, with a poster, social media content and website elements.

A logo/mascot combo created for an electrician's company 'The Spark' The client wanted a friendly face to advertise their trade, and with the name sounding like a superhero already, the logical step was made! Created in Adobe Illustrator.

Biggar Chill - Wrap Design

Biggar Chill approached me for a brand makeover, and were looking for an updated version of their Polar Bear mascot. They wanted a character which appeared friendly and 'light-hearted,' versatile enough to be illustrated in a variety of poses for use in their social media and offline content. They also required designs for full trailer wraps, measuring 3, 4 and 5 metres in length.
