I regard this as one of my most valuable of career experiences, the processes involved being particularly relevant to my current pursuits. In my commercial interior design role l would take a brief from the client, undertake a full measured survey on site, create a series of full architectural CAD drawings to scale of existing plans, elevations and site, create a new series of proposed drawings including photographic 3D visualisations and mood boards. Present to the client, make revisions where necessary, specify products and procure materials, discuss with contractors then project manage the refurbishments.
