Peyton Lobe is an Albertan screenwriter and filmmaker whose love for movies began the night he saw Revenge of the Sith in theatres with his father. The lights dimmed, the crawl began, and something clicked. That was the moment cinema became magic. Years later, Good Time by the Safdie brothers showed him that the same magic could be made with grit, instinct, and heart. It was the film that convinced him he could do this for real. Peyton’s work lives where style meets sincerity. He writes science fiction, neo noir crime thrillers, and offbeat comedies filled with flawed people searching for something true. His debut feature script Grape Soda is a personal story about loss, addiction, and the strange beauty that can grow from pain. During his time at Vancouver Film School, Peyton gained his first film set experience with roles such as Co-Producer, Production Designer, Set Decorator, Assistant Boom Operator, Props Master, Art Director and Body Double. He also wrote and directed his own motion capture short scene shot at Beyond Capture Studios. A lifelong hockey player, Peyton carries that same sense of rhythm and collaboration into filmmaking. Every role matters, every frame tells a story. He hopes his work leaves audiences with a spark of curiosity, a lingering question, or the quiet feeling that something inside them has shifted.
