I’m a Sound Designer & Music Composer based in Vancouver, CA.
I began my career working with sound in the 2000s. During those years, I held various positions, including professional musician, broadcast technician, music teacher, and chef. Although my positions have demanded a variety of skills, each Organization has a different culture and stakeholders. I have found one principle that is common to all: Work hard, together with the team, to achieve my goals as a sound designer, aligned with the company’s values.
Throughout all these years of experience, I’ve had the opportunity to play at major festivals with excellent musicians and learn from that environment. As a bass teacher, I’ve worked with different age groups, observing and paying attention to each student’s personal goals. One of the main points of my professional career was as a radio broadcaster. I dedicated 12 years to organizing sounds, working as a Broadcast Operations Technician, recording jingles, Promotional Spot and Station IDs, coordinating a technical team of 5 people, and being responsible for monitoring and maintaining the technical performance of radio transmission and reception systems, ensuring broadcast continuity and quality control.
When I moved to Vancouver, my goal was to get a job, regardless of the field, and settle down in Canada. I started working in a restaurant as a dishwasher and, a few months later, I was promoted to other positions until I became a chef. Was 6 years dedicated to this valuable profession. I am proud of all the work I have done, always with respect and dedication.
I believe that being a sound designer is about being part of building a story, in this case, a life story. Through sounds, it’s possible to transmit all kinds of emotions and feelings, and this is the sonic language through which I have chosen to communicate with the world. I am eager to translate this passion into my next ambitious project. Therefore, I trust that I will be a great asset to the team, building relationships of trust and respect, keeping communication channels open, fostering creativity, innovation, diversity, and supporting a work environment that promotes growth and recognition.
