Designed and built a 3D-printed fixed-wing UAV with a 1.5-meter wingspan in collaboration with Propulsion, Flight Control, and Ground Control Station teams. The UAV carried up to 700 grams of payload, featured a surveillance camera, and integrated a Parachute Recovery System (PRS) for enhanced safety. It achieved a stall speed of 11 m/s and a cruise speed of 23 m/s. Performed flight-profile calculations and aerodynamic analyses using XFLR5. Used Fusion 360 for airframe design and Cura for 3D printing preparation.

    Design and Development of a Fixed-Wing UAV

    This project focuses on the design, aerodynamic analysis, and performance evaluation of a fixed-wing UAV manufactured using PLA material. The study includes airfoil selection, wing configuration design, CFD simulations, stability analysis, and performance estimation. XFLR5 and ANSYS Fluent were utilized to evaluate lift, drag, pressure distribution, and flight characteristics under various operating conditions. The objective is to develop an efficient and manufacturable UAV platform suitable for research and educational purposes.
