Storytelling through powerful lyrics is at the heart of who I am as a writer. I firmly believe that art should tell a story, no matter what form it takes. I can compose a melody and hear arrangements for a complete song, but the words are where I find my strength. Music then elevates them to another level.
Primarily my lyrics reflect
- my faith
- my family
- love
However, I am more than willing and able to write about pretty much any topic. I also am comfortable attempting any genre and any style, though the bias towards rock, gospel/choir and soul/R&B fusion bias is strongly evident in my work.
For examples of my work you can find me on the following platforms:
Suno - RE-Creates77
Soundcloud - RECreates77
Spotify - Richard Elkin aka RECreates77
I would love to collaborate with artists who need words to enhance their music, or who need someone to offer suggestions and tweaks to the lyrics they may have already. I also welcome the opportunity to create a song from scratch!

Latin flair meets a powerful message, inviting us to experience the river of Life that flows from the heart of God.
[brass instrumental intro]
There’s a place we can go
When things are tough.
There’s a place we can go
When we don’t have enough
It’s a place of comfort, joy and love divine
And if we come to where this river flows
Things will be just fine.
[chorus]
It’s a river of peace, it’s a river of grace
It’s a river that flows from the one who took my place
It’s a river of mercy, a river of healing
And as it flows, it never stops revealing.
God’s love for us (God’s love for us)
HIs wondrous love for us (His wondrous love for us)
So come on and get into
The river of God
[brass instrumental same as intro]
[verse 2]
God’s arms are open wide
He’s calling us to come
And join Him in this place
Where the river runs
The waters are refreshing, and for a thirsty soul,
They’re a life giving source of strength
These waters make us whole.
[instrumental]
[bridge]
No power of hell can stop it, no nothing can prevail
Against this mighty rivers power. For it’ll never fail
There is healing for our bodies.
transformation for our minds.
Personal encounters of the Godly kind.
There’s salvation for the sinner. The lost will be found.
Redemption everlasting as this river flows around.
Washing clean the deepest, darkest place inside
All of this comes from the river of life.
[Chorus]
It’s a river of peace (un rio de paz)
it’s a river of grace (un rio de gracia)
It’s a river that flows from the one who took my place
It’s a river of mercy (un rio de misericordia)
A river of healing (un rio de sanacion)
And as it flows, it never stops revealing.
God’s love for us (el amor de DIos de nos)
HIs wondrous love for us (Su maravilloso amor)
So come on and get into
El rio de paz, el rio de gracia
El rio que fluye de quien toma mi lugar
Es un rio de misericordia, el rio de sanacion
Y mientras fluye nunca deja de revelar
El amor de Dios (God’s love for us)
Su maravilloso amor de dios (His wondrous love for us)
Asi que vengan y adentratense
En el rio de Dios

An invitation to spend some time with the Father, in silence if necessary, and rest in His peace amidst the chaos and struggles of life.
(V1)
You see the mountains high
You feel the fear of their shadow
You know the toll
This journey’s taken on your soul
You search desperately for streams
To quench the thirst of your dreams
You see
You feel
And you know
(pre chorus)
There must be answers to this life
You are desperate to break free from the lies
(Chorus 1)
Come and spend some time with me
Come and simply breathe
We don’t have to do a thing
We’ll let silence softly sing
My child if you want to find that peace
Simply come and spend some time with me
(v2)
I see the hurt in your eyes
I feel the pain in your heart
I know the toll
Time has taken on your soul
I hear the never ending stream
Of doubts and questions in your mind
I see
I feel
And I know
(pre chorus 2)
That you need some answers to this life
And I’m desperate to break you free from the lies
(Chorus 2)
Come and spend some time with me
Come and simply breathe
We don’t have to do a thing
We’ll let silence softly sing
My child if you want to find that peace
Simply come and spend some time with me
(Bridge)
Inside you there’s a strength
That’ll go to any length
To show you how much I have for you
That inner strength is Me
I’m the One who set you free
And I want you to believe
This truth
(pre chorus 3)
I am the answer for your life
I’m the truth and I will never lie
(Chorus 3)
So come and spend some time with me
Come and simply let me breathe
You don’t have to do a thing
In the silence I will sing
This song over you
Come and spend some time with me
I gave my life so you could breathe
And there is nothing you can do
To separate my love from you
My child I give you peace
Just come and spend some time with me
A song that addresses the questions we all face regarding our self worth.
(verse 1)
One of those mornings
Can’t get out of bed.
Can’t unhear the voices
Whispering loudly in my head.
”You’re not good enough
You’ll never be”
The morning cup of coffee
Doesn’t do the trick.
Each taunt of the voices
Becomes another rip
”You’re not good enough
You’ll never be”
[chorus]
My God where is your voice?
I can’t hear it thru this noise
My God say something loud
My faith is not yet destroyed.
I know I am just a man,
Who wants to follow Your plan.
So many dreams I’ve let fall aside
Am I enough?
I’ll let You decide
(verse 2)
Days turn into weeks.
Weeks to months.
it’s seems like I just keep
Fighting on all fronts.
” Am I good enough?
Will I ever be?”
Some days are better
Than the one before.
Progress is made
Just like it has before
” It’s not good enough
And it’ll never be”
[chorus 2]
But God I know your voice
Your whisper cuts thru the noise
With authority you say it loud
Your faithfulness will not stop now!
It is true I am just a man
One for whom You have a plan
You placed all those dreams inside
Are You enough?
I’ll let You decide.
[bridge]
Your faithfulness is endless
Your promises are true.
You always keep your Word
You’ll always see me through.
The choices that You make
I may not understand.
But I’m worthy of your love.
And by Your hand
I will always have enough.
[chorus 3]
My God I hear Your still small voice
Shut out all the other noise.
You are the one who lifts my head.
The one in whom my soul finds rest.
Though I am a simple man
You extend Your hand
You’ve given me this life
The dreams I have inside
And You are enough
In You alone
My soul is satisfied
You make me enough.
And through You
I’ll always be.
