Rhonda (ACTRA, CAEA, CAA, EAC, PAMA) RL has been a professional performance artist for 45+yrs, celebrating an extensive career in music, writing, theatre & film; locally & internationally. Through an avid interest in music-based R&D, she has evolved as a music psychologist/arts mentor/neuro-music scientist, and has often presented as a guest speaker, and career counselor in arts, music & science-based forums and universities all over the globe.e.g. Internations, Rotary International, CFUW, CAMH, Mindcamp +++, Buck’s, Vanderbilt . She has adjudicated vocal, dance regionally; and writing at international level. RL has been privileged to sit-in with musicians in over 80 countries; and has performed with Tony Meléndez, Cleveland Watkiss,Michael Schade,Gavin Hope,Steáfán Hannigan, Peter King, Shelly Berger, Karen Kain (NBC), Derek Paravicini, Loreena McKennitt and Michael Fox, to name a few. At home, she has played with original projects, culminating in various record deals. RL holds professional writing status (CAA), and is currently scribing her next book. In 2018, she and her husband celebrated membership into the Travel Century Club (100 countries) by publishing their more humorous tales in their charity-driven book, Around the World: Stories from Afar but Close to a Bar. (Amazon, Smashwords, Indigo). She recently won a Rocaberti writing scholarship for her screenplay, which is to be developed at Sant Mori Castle, Spain, 2026. RL paid the rent and funded music projects, largely due to being type-cast in TV/film in the early 90s.Select credits include Rick Mercer’s Monday Night Report, Wonderland, Ararat, The Highwaymen, Relic Hunter, Bleacher Bums, The Colour of Justice, Street Legal. Other studies and certifications in Music Production and Engineering, Music and Care (Palliative/hospice Room217.org) and Heartmath all contribute to her ever-evolving tool-kit as well. In community, she serves as Chaplain for RCL, Br. 8. The Aye Lighthouse Foundation was founded in 2004. It sources R&D funding for music therapy research and hearing aids for children in third world. To date, they have purchased 100s of aids via Christian Blind Mission. She has lived all over the world, and now calls Stratford ‘home’.
