Animator | Character Designer | Storyteller | 2D Animation & Storyboarding About Me: I am an animator, character designer, and storyteller who wants to create meaningful work for film, television, animation, and video games. My ultimate goal is simple: to bring happiness to others through the characters, worlds, and stories I create. I am especially drawn to emotionally complex narratives, morally gray characters, psychological conflict, independent animation, experimental film, classic Disney, and psychological horror. Storytelling has always been both a creative outlet and a way for me to understand and process the world around me. I earned my BFA in Kinetic Imaging from VCUarts, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Before college, I attended the selective Visual and Performing Arts Academy at Salem High School. I also spent a semester studying abroad in Florence, Italy, where I expanded my artistic skills and experienced a new culture. My work has appeared in juried and public exhibitions at The Anderson, Richmond City Stadium, the Institute for Contemporary Art at VCU, Zeiders American Dream Theater, the Neptune Festival, and the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art. I have also received numerous awards for my artwork. My largest independent project is Il Sogno Zanni, an original commedia dell’arte-inspired animated series I have been developing since October 2024. The project includes an animated pilot, character designs, illustrations, short animations, lore-based comics, and a screenplay. I directed, produced, storyboarded, and animated the pilot while collaborating with voice actors, a composer, a background artist, and a character designer. I also incorporated feedback from experienced artists and industry professionals throughout production. Other projects include Harlequin and Pierrot Bake a Cake, a fully colored, dialogue-free animated short completed independently in two and a half weeks, and Fuck If I Know, a collaborative faux trailer combining live action and animation. Both were selected for the juried exhibition Behold the Magnificent. I enjoy working independently and collaboratively, from early concepts and character development through final production. I am currently seeking opportunities in character design, storyboarding, 2D animation, video editing, sound design, and production assistance. I am particularly inspired by studios such as Glitch Productions, SpindleHorse, Disney, DreamWorks, and Netflix Animation.
