Hi, I’m Rachael Jihye Tajima, a queer Asian-American storyteller born and raised in Honolulu, Hawai‘i. My love for visual storytelling began as a kid—Windows Movie Maker opened a portal to new worlds, and a JVC MiniDV camcorder became my first serious friend. I taught myself the craft through school projects and parody videos with friends, later earning a BFA in Film and Production from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Since then I’ve cut my teeth on weddings, live events, and conventions, all while watching Las Vegas’ marketing and media landscape evolve from behind the lens. Today I edit national commercials and corporate content, collaborate on brand direction, and shepherd post-production workflows for a range of clients.
