Industry Experience

Non-Profit Organization, Media & Entertainment, Education, Professional Services, Software & Internet
    uniE621 Holding Our Own
A collection of grassroots groups (including Art Against Knives, Kids of Colour and No More Exclusions) wrote a guide on non-policing solutions to serious youth violence. The guide was co-written with young people, and the brief was to create a guide that felt contemporary and editorial. More like a magazine than an NGO report, so that it would appeal to a younger and broader audience than a standard report. I came up with a mini-brand and worked with a fantastic photographer to bring together the final product.
    uniE621 Kin Coffee
Concept created while working at Fishfinger Studio. It was pitched to a high-end coffee subscription service, that values the quality of their coffee as much as sustainability. The coffee subscription service would use reusable tins to deliver fresh coffee and collect used coffee grounds. The concept used tightly-cropped, stylised photography of coffee plants to create abstract patterns. I took inspiration from the frequent use of abstract shapes and patterns in high-end coffee packaging, but grounded this in reality by using photography to create something visually unique. The coffee ‒ and it’s production ‒ remain central visually, just as it is central to the organisation.
    uniE621 Inquest Report
This report from INQUEST used their core brand typefaces and colour palette, but needed it's own unique look and feel. The report highlighted the stories of 10 women who had died in prison. Newspaper headlines provided by INQUEST were my main visial reference. I used a layered, collage style to bring a personal, hand made feel to the report which highlighted the families' long-running fights for justice.
    uniE621 TUC Poster and Leaflet
The TUC wanted to distribute information amongst their younger members to raise awareness of the National Minimum Wage increase. We created an A5 leaflet that unfolds into an A3 poster, which encourages young people to check that their wages have increased in line with the law. This will be distributed to young members across the UK in March 2025 ahead of the changes coming in to force.
    uniE621 No Child Left Behind
Whilst working at campaigning agency Small Axe, I worked on the National Education Union’s free school meals campaign. This involved using their existing brand to create work for digital and print, and developing their brand as needed. I worked on many key campaign moments, including the 2024 General Election, producing work from concept to print. The challenge here was to keep coming up with new concepts and ideas to allow the brand to feel consistent but not repetitive, across many different platforms and mediums.
