I’m Ramon Fernandez, a writer and director deeply rooted in the world of show business. Raised in the industry and shaped by a mother who worked on Patton, Dr. Zhivago, and The Great White Hope, I began my career as a New York film critic before transitioning to acting and screenwriting. I’ve collaborated with directors like Steven Soderbergh, Scott Hicks, and Tom McCarthy, which has given me a deep understanding of the actor’s craft and the power of realistic dialogue. My writing has earned festival recognition—from Blindfold winning Best Original Screenplay at the NY Film & Video Festival to Glory Daze winning Manhattan Film Festival in 2016. My projects include The Johnson Crossing and Anika being optioned by industry veterans, and Hot Tuesday, winner of 2014 Atlanta Shortsfest. I’m currently directing Surpassing Sight, a feature documentary, and I reside in Hollywood, CA.
