Before the pandemic, as a hobby, I served as president to one of the oldest community theatre companies in the nation, Kanawha Players. I have helped KP, a non-profit organization, from closing its doors and still have main stage productions for the local community. I have also started collaborating with a friend in help launching her movie blog off the ground. In my professional career, I have been employed with the state's newspaper for 19 years in the Creative Service Department. For the newspaper, I have designed special inserts, daily sections such the Real Estate Tab, daily advertisements featuring local businesses, static advertisements for the newspaper's website/social media platforms, and occasional marketing products for when the newspaper is hosting or co-sponsoring a local event. I am used to deadlines and I am very accustomed to last-minute changes before our product hits the press.
