Hi, I’m Reabetswe Moeti, a South African film and television producer, director, and writer. I trained at the National Film and Television School in the UK, where I earned my Master’s in Directing and Producing, and I launched my career in South Africa as a writer and head writer for local TV series. I received recognition with a SAFTA for my work on the show Lockdown on Africa’s largest TV network, Multichoice, and I’ve since directed short films such as The Virgin Vegan, Mma Moeketsi, and Botlhale, as well as feature-length documentaries and a Netflix feature-length fiction film. In 2016 I founded Rare View Media, which later grew into Totem Zea Collective with Zoe Ramushu to expand creative control and storytelling reach.
