I’m Kenneth Mensah, but most know me as Reckwan — a fiercely dedicated Ghanaian video editor and producer who brings cinematic precision and storytelling fire to every frame I touch. I’m proudly self-taught, but my edge sharpened early when I was mentored by Charles Gyasi, a retired Howard University lecturer. From 2010 to 2012, I trained in-house with the best tools in the industry — high-end systems, professional editing suites, and real-world production workflows. That foundation launched a journey I’m still on — one frame at a time. Since 2012, I’ve worked closely with acclaimed Ghanaian producer Danny Damah (Beasts of No Nation, The Burial of Kojo) — learning, building, and contributing directly to projects that changed the game for African cinema. I was proud to support key visual work during the production of Beasts of No Nation, and I continue to collaborate with Danny on fresh ideas, bold visuals, and groundbreaking content. As the founder of June12 Productions, I’ve edited and produced for some of the biggest names in Ghanaian music and culture: I don’t just edit videos — I design emotional rhythm, visual clarity, and narrative power. I work with artists, producers, and visionaries who want more than just cuts — they want impact, energy, and legacy. 📍 Based in Ghana. Creating for the world. 🎥 Let’s build something unforgettable.

Education

Bachelor of Arts at Accra Film Sch

My journey began with passion, curiosity, and a laptop — completely self-taught in the early days. But things leveled up quickly. From 2010 to 2012, I was privately trained and mentored by Charles Gyasi, a retired lecturer from Howard University. He took me under his wing for a full in-house creative bootcamp — hands-on and intense. I had access to the best editing machines, top-tier software suites, and studio-standard production tools. Under his guidance, I mastered the art of editing — not just how to cut a video, but how to craft emotion, build tension, and tell unforgettable stories Through my brand June12 Productions, I’ve led creative work across genres — from music and film to corporate and campaign content. My style blends emotional precision, technical mastery, and a deep love for story. I’m always growing, always creating, and always ready to turn vision into visuals.
