I have been working in the film industry for 25 years, and I still feel that every day on set is an inspiring opportunity to meet new people and learn more about the wonderful job I have. I started out as a television cameraman, then went to film school in Amsterdam and graduated with the student Oscar-nominated LDL in 2006. I love the mix of commercial and documentary work—the studio table-top shoots with robot arms and high-speed cameras for beer or coffee ads, as well as on-location, character-driven stories with actors. I also travel the world for documentary projects and value the variety this work offers. I’ve been fortunate to receive nominations and awards for my documentaries and commercials, including recognition at Byron Bay Film Festival, Golden Calf nominations, and Camerimage for Furia. My career has taken me to Hong Kong and China for CCTV, among other experiences. I’m excited to talk about how film and photography can highlight your product.
