Hi, I’m Renato Anesi. I’m a Brazilian multi-instrumentalist whose life revolves around strings. I started in Rio’s North Zone, inspired by my father, a guitarist and cavaquinho player, and I fell in love with choro and samba, then widened into rock and jazz, always chasing new ways to express myself through music.
Over four decades, I’ve led the trio Corda Coral, performed and recorded with celebrated Brazilian masters, and expanded my horizons internationally—from the Chicago Guitar Festival to Europe, where I based myself in 2023 and now perform, record, and teach in Berlin.
