Hi, I’m Reza Kahani, an animation director with over 20 years of creative exploration. I hold a Master’s in Culture & Media and am a PhD candidate in Culture & Communication. My journey began in 2002 as an Art Director at Arianeh Media Company, and in 2006 I founded Pouyanama, contributing to a wide range of animated projects across formats and audiences. Since 2020, I’ve led Disdoof Media in Doha, focusing on cross-cultural, globally oriented productions. I’ve also worked remotely as an Art Director with Samla Media in New York. My core strengths are creative copywriting and direction, and my directing approach is shaped by formal training at Bamdad International Cinema School under Asghar Farhadi, the two-time Oscar-winning filmmaker. I’ve taught animation and motion pictures at bachelor’s and master’s levels in two institutions during 2008–2012 and 2020–2023. Outside the studio, I’m driven by collaborative storytelling and ensuring every project resonates with diverse audiences.
