Hi, I’m Rob Ackerman Diaz, a professional sound mixer and post-production supervisor specializing in theatrical and broadcast projects, Dolby Atmos HE and spatial mixing, ADR recording, dubbing, voice directing and voice-over recording. Between 2018 to 2025 I was the Head of Sound at Light Year Studios, leading a talented team through high-profile mix, dubbing, and ADR sessions, while pushing creative and technical boundaries.

I thrive on collaborating with directors and producers to craft immersive soundscapes; I’m hands-on with studio facilities, equipment upgrades, ISO-compliant workflows, and I relish developing new processes that improve client experience and efficiency.

Meet Lambert (Julian Sands) - a man searching for something more in his life. He meets Kellan (Art Malik) who makes an incredible offer - Lambert can escape to the world of his deepest desire, his most secret fantasy, all he has to do is hand over everything he owns. Lambert returns to his every day life of comfortable domesticity with Sarah (Olivia Williams) and workplace stress. As dark clouds gather in his life we wonder if Lambert will take Kellan’s offer and what is it, exactly, that he’s escaping from?

An early project of mine, I provided the full sound design and final mix. The piece was designed to be atmospheric and unnerving, with emphasis on the psychological journey Lambert’s character is going through as he battles with an unwavering desire to escape his reality and be lost in his fantasy

Directed and written by Sean Sigfreid, the film is a fictionalised telling of the true story of Sean’s relationship with his mother as she battles dementia and alcoholism, and the grief he encounters after she has passed

I acted as supervising sound editor, providing full audio post including dialogue edit, sound design and final mix

The design was atmospheric and spacial, demonstrating the emotional journey of Sean’s character (Nick), both highlighting and counterpointing his grief and denial

Bombastic horror sequel, part of the Twisted Childhood franchise by Jagged Edge. I provided sound design for 20% of the feature, and was the lead Rerecording mixer, including finalling at Pinewood Studio’s Theatre 1

The design was larger than life and impactful, with emphasis on jump scares and gore
