This project is inspired by the song “Morena Dos Olhos D’água” by singer and
composer Caetano Veloso. A work that mixes melancholy and hope, using
metaphors to express deep feelings. The ‘brunette with the water eyes’ is a figure who
seems to be trapped in an endless wait, looking at the sea in the hope that her
beloved will return.

In 2020, I was asked by a classmate to create the illustrations for her capstone project.
These characters were created for a memory game. Aiming to bring diversity and
inclusion.
Now, I’m bringing those same characters back with a more captivating and welcoming
redesign.

Pinktober is an illustration challenge held every October, organized by the Alaska Academy, featuring 31 different themes, all with pink as the main color.

This project is inspired by the song “Assa Branca” by singer and composer Luiz Gonzaga.
To create a fantasy book cover with warm and soft colors, using
referential elements from other songs by the same author.
The song speaks of the drought in the Northeast, which was so intense that it forced its people to migrate, just like the birds, among them the white-winged dove, which is a type of pigeon with a deep and hoarse song that represents the lament of the people, who suffer so much, to the creator.

creatures and great emotions that teaches children about friendship and
respect.
