Rory Easton is a filmmaker, writer, and creative director working across Edinburgh and Glasgow. Self shooting PD owning a full extensive range of video production gear including Cameras, lighting, mics, backdrops and more and a full portable or office based post workflow. Working freelance, he partners with people and organisations who care about impact, not just output. From grassroots charities to national brands, his past collaborators include East of Scotland Tennis, The Edinburgh Practice, Young Enterprise Scotland, Big Hearts, Spartans Community Foundation, and the Edinburgh International Book Festival. Every project has shaped his lens, not just technically, but personally. Rory’s path into film began early. What started with LEGO stop-motion videos and realism art has grown into a full-time creative practice. He works independently, driven by authorship and trust, and by a belief that meaningful visuals don’t need to be loud, just honest. Right now, he’s in production of a series of funded creative documentaries exploring the lives of Scottish artists and storytellers who have taken a leap from another profession, told through the lens of identity, work, and emotional inheritance. Whether he’s directing, editing, or behind the camera, Rory brings care and clarity to every frame. He listens first. He builds trust. And he works to create visuals that don’t just look good but show impact.
