Ross H. Martin grew up in NY. After graduating from University of Hartford with a B.A. as an English major, Ross moved to Los Angeles, CA to pursue the film industry.
Ross worked on a bunch of TV pilots and film sets, including “Return of the Living Dead III” as an art department intern. Ross attended Columbia College-Hollywood film school in Hollywood, CA. At Columbia College, Ross produced, wrote, directed, and edited short films mostly on 16mm. “The Turnaround” short film was the “Best of the Fest” of the Rochester Intl. Film Festival.
Ross produced, co-wrote and co-directed a feature film dramatic comedy “Rubbernecking” starring Corbin Bernsen, Arye Gross, Renee O’Connor (‘Xena, Warrior Princess”) and Debra Wilson (“Mad TV”). “Rubbernecking” was at the IFP Market in NY October 2001. The film has screened at various film festivals.
Ross was the co-founder of Screamfest Horror Film Festival in its first year in 2001. Ross was also the founder and festival director of Social Media Film Festival in 2012 in Las Vegas, NV. Ross wrote concert reviews for Vegas Seven Magazine.
Ross edited the feature film “War of the Worlds 2: The Next Wave” starring and directed by C. Thomas Howell for The Asylum. It can be seen on Tubi. In 2009, Ross directed and edited a short comedy film, “The Octo Circus.” In 2013, Ross produced, wrote, directed, and edited a short film, “You Are What You Eat.”
Ross writes screenplays in various genres. He has achieved some competition accolades. For the last two years, Ross has been reading scripts and writing coverage for the Austin Film Festival. His short films can be viewed on his You Tube Channel: rosshmartin
