Ross Tinney is a highly respected film director and editor specialising in TV commercials and online content—anything to do with the moving medium. He started RT Films in 1985 after 7 years at Channel 7 Perth, and later spent 3 years as Commercials Director at South Pacific Television in New Zealand. In 1997 he expanded into Asia by opening RT Films in Jakarta and building it into a quality production house across the SE Asia region. Ross is now based in Perth, where he shoots, directs and edits online content for a wide range of corporate and not-for-profit clients. He is also the author of “My POV – Getting ahead in the film industry,” a book aimed at helping students move from theory to real-world work in the industry. He is proud of a personal project, “Flight of The Swan – a river’s journey from source to sea,” a 22-minute short film following the Swan River via drone, featuring an inspirational concerto composed by Tim Count and performed by the Budapest Symphony Orchestra.…
