I am currently studying Electronic Music Production at BIMM Birmingham, where I have consistently achieved First-class results across practical and written work. 14 out of 16 modules completed so far have received First-class results, including two results at 90%, two at 85% and several others around 80%.

While my degree focuses on electronic music, my work at BIMM has given me experience across a much wider range of studio and audio environments. This includes recording and engineering sessions with other artists, vocal recording and production, mixing and collaborative studio work.

Alongside my assessed work, I have also had opportunities to assist in professional recording environments. This has included supporting a gospel choir recording session for a project led by an established UK number-one artist, helping to ensure the recording process ran smoothly throughout the session.

My time at BIMM has allowed me to develop both the creative and technical sides of my production work, while gaining experience working with other musicians in studio environments. I am currently entering my final year and am looking to continue building on this experience through further collaborative and professional projects.

Would you be surprised to hear there is a large international beatboxing community? I have been part of this community since 2021, competing in and judging competitions at both national and international level. This has given me a unique and thorough understanding of the characteristics and nuances of beatbox audio.

In 2025, I began offering my services as a specialist beatbox audio mixer, working with both individual artists and larger events to deliver the best possible sound for long-form video, short-form content and streaming platform releases. This also includes audio work for competition entries, a unique challenge where mixing techniques are closely monitored and deliberately limited.

Since starting this work, I have completed over 100 beatbox and vocal loopstation mixing jobs, including work for national beatboxing championships, international events and successful competition submissions to the Grand Beatbox Battle.

I have also recently started a working relationship with D-Low, an internationally recognised beatboxer whose videos have amassed millions of views online. This work is ongoing and continues to expand the range of specialist beatbox audio and production work I undertake.

Throughout 2026, I have started and grown my artist project “OREN”. Focussing on experimental melodic drum and bass and pushing the limits of sound design within bass music.

During this project, I have written, produced and fully sound designed original songs on Ableton Live, featuring my own vocals and mixing and mastering techniques. It has been an entirely independent project from initial programming to final export.

As well as this, I have been independently marketing and growing a fanbase around the OREN project, by fully designing and executing marketing strategies and release plans. This includes playlist pitches, short form content, long form content and other community building ventures.

From this, OREN’s debut release managed to amass over 3,000 streams on a debut release within the first month. As well as receiving critical acclaim from drum and bass reviewers, including “Lennart Hoffmann” who named “Near?” his “Pick of the Week” on its release!
