DRAIN is a short film directed by Aidan MacIlvaine. I had the role of covering all sound post production, including sound effects, music score, background ambiences, and dialogue/production audio processing.
The film follows the story of a man driven to vengeance after exploring the mysterious death of his sister. It has a heavy focus on combat choreography.
Produced and edited SFX and environment ambience soundscapes for feature films and documentaries. Monitored foley recording sessions, edits audio clips for quality, implemented files into audio mix. Edited production sound and dialogue for clarity, conducted quality control spotting on film audio.
Coordinated and conducted live recording sessions for over 30 vocalists in various genres to produce high-quality audio files. Mixed and mastered more than 30 tracks to develop proficiency with Pro Tools software. Handled client interaction and negotiation to support studio profits and ensure client satisfaction.
Practiced live mixing twice weekly on an Allen & Heath SQ-7 soundboard. Conducted live sound checks, maintained audio equipment, and monitored live performances.
