I’m Sara Hyde, an Edinburgh based Illustrator and Graphic Designer with a background in Fine Art. I work in traditional media as well as digital illustration, I’m proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, however I often start off with an inky pen and paintbrush before finishing off digitally. If speed is of the essence that’s not a problem, I can produce work to tight deadlines with my trusty Wacom Cintiq!

Poem illustation and character design
Project to come up with character designs for 4 children of different ages and 4 pages to illustrate a poem.
I used digital illustration in a loose way to evoke watercolour and pencil.
Digital illustration allowed for full control of layout and amendments to the artwork, offering maximum flexibility.
Created book designs for the RSCDS, saw projects through from initial design ideas to final printing.
