uniE621 My final artwork for my thesis
#illustrator o my thesis is called; Avoiding design stereotypes when it comes to creating a witch character in video games. My initial study was to look at stereotypes in character design. As the reason one would use stereotyping to help address the audience what the character is at first glance. But at the same time it has become overused. Which asks the question of what happens when you remove that stereotype from their design, would they still be recognizable or not? I decided to narrow it down and focus on a specific kind of stereotyped character; witches. Mainly because I felt that everyone has a general idea of what a witch looks like (wearing black, pointed hat, broom, etc.). The goal of this project is to create a witch character with the understanding of the limitations of design stereotypes.
