After many years building distributed financial systems in Java, using a variety of technologies, I was fortunate to have the opportunity in 2018 to join the newly established Quorum Engineering team at JP Morgan. In this capacity I helped build the GoQuorum platform, a fork of Ethereum which allows private blockchain networks to be built with additional enterprise features. This has given me in-depth exposure to all aspects of Ethereum and Blockchain systems in general, which works well alongside my Golang/Java distributed systems experience. Over the last few years, I have been working on contract roles, assisting clients in building their Web3 systems. Most of my experience has been gained over the full development life cycle, working to tight timescales whilst maintaining quality and producing good documentation. My team leadership skills include managing global teams of up to 9 people. I am comfortable in client-facing roles, making technical recommendations, estimating timescales and performing analysis of requirements.
