I’m Julian Schulzeck, a Senior Unity Developer with 6+ years of experience building online and multiplayer games independently. My focus is on designing and implementing complex gameplay systems, especially turn-based mechanics, strategic simulations, and scalable architectures that can grow over time.
In my previous work as Lead Developer and System Architect at Serigami Games, I have independently developed and shipped a turn-based strategy game (Elementaris), including core systems such as combat, progression, resource management, and multiplayer networking. I also built a custom reliable UDP networking layer and designed a scalable client-server architecture.
What sets me apart is that I am not only a programmer, but someone who builds complete game systems from the ground up - including gameplay architecture, backend integration, and tool systems. I have strong experience in creating modular systems that can be extended with new mechanics, factions, and content over time.
I am especially passionate about turn-based strategy games and systems where player decisions shape long-term outcomes. The idea of combining a strategy layer with a live Pen & Paper campaign is exactly the type of system-driven design I enjoy building.
I work independently, take ownership of architecture and feature planning, and can take a concept from MVP to a scalable production-ready system.
