I’m a freelance video editor with years of experience shaping stories for TV and online audiences. I worked at BYU Broadcasting as a content editor, assistant editor, online editor, and editor. I’ve cut everything from short-form promos to full-length shows, always with an eye for pacing, rhythm, and storytelling.
Outside of editing, I’ve been a drummer for over 20 years—and my sense of rhythm and dynamics carries into my work. Editing has a groove. I have an eye-- and ear-- for making a sequence feel seamless and natural, or giving it that extra punch.
My career path also includes seven years in the solar industry, where I led teams, optimized workflows, and made data-backed decisions to solve complex issues. It’s a very different field, but it taught me how to collaborate, manage projects, and deliver consistently at a high level—all of which make me a stronger, more reliable editor today.

Managed a team of 18 remote employees across five functions. By developing trusting relationships, setting clear expectations, and holding agents accountable, led the team to exceed metric targets while maintaining high-quality standards. Implemented process improvements, including reducing response time to roof leaks from 7+ days to less than 48 hours.
Operated and mixed front-of-house sound for live performances in a 200-capacity venue, ensuring clarity and balance across genres. Managed full signal path from stage input to house PA, optimizing gain structure, EQ, and effects for each performance. Collaborated with artists and touring engineers to meet performance requirements and achieve their desired onstage and FOH sound. Recorded and mixed live multitrack sessions for post-production.
Served as first review point for all raw footage, meticulously screening, organizing, and preparing media for the lead editor. Delivered Premiere Pro projects that were clean, labeled, and editor-ready. Performed detailed assembly edits: synced audio, removed unusable takes, cleaned dead air, and created intuitive timelines. Prepared and sent final edits to the audio, color, and VFX specialists. Re-linked and integrated the graded footage, cleaned audio, graphics, and VFX into a polished, broadcast-ready final master. Ensured technical accuracy across frame rates, codecs, audio levels, and delivery formats. Performed detailed QC passes to guarantee continuity and technical compliance before final delivery. Collaborated with the lead promo editor to create multiple platform-specific and time-specific versions of promotional spots.
