Seán Boland

I’m a screenwriter based in Glasgow, writing grounded, character-driven stories with harrowing themes, flashes of humour and a strong sense of place. My work explores identity, class, characters, and families, and I’m always expanding the genres I write in, embracing versatility.

I write quickly, collaborate well, and enjoy building worlds and characters that feel lived in. My current feature script, North of the Border, is in conversation with producers. I have completed features and pilots and am actively developing new work.
