I'm Sebastian Sele, a Cairo-based independent photographer and multimedia storyteller. My work has appeared in The New York Times, Bloomberg Businessweek, DER SPIEGEL, and other major outlets. I started as a writer before moving into photography, and I served as editor-in-chief at VICE Switzerland, shaping editorial direction and photo-led storytelling. In 2024 I completed ICP’s one-year documentary program with a self-published multimedia project on NYC’s historic migration crisis, which was a finalist for Visa Pour l’Image’s Best Digital News Story.
