Serge Ghazalé is a performance artist, composer, musician, and DJ whose work spans live performance, sound composition, and collaborative projects across music and contemporary art. He is the co-founder of Bruit Rose, a center for contemporary music and art in Fribourg, where he also works as an artist hospitality manager and creative writer. Since 2016, Ghazalé has developed a multifaceted artistic practice, moving between stages, galleries, and festivals. His musical projects—most notably Horse, I’m Virus, where he serves as lead singer-songwriter, and Horizon Liquide, where he performs as percussionist, guitarist, and vocalist—have brought him to major stages such as Les Georges Festival, Paléo Festival, Festival de la Cité, Bad Bonn Kilbi, Montreux Jazz Festival, and venues across Switzerland, Lebanon, and Norway. His performances are marked by intensity, experimentation, and a refusal of easy categorization. As a collaborator, Ghazalé has contributed to significant artistic productions, including composing for Amoxtli by Vir-Andres Hera at the Biennale de Lyon (2024) and participating in projects such as L’Été des Charognes (Espace Eeeeh!, Nyon), I Don’t Want to Talk, But… (Zico House, Beirut), and Construire un Feu (ECAL, Lausanne). His work embraces the intersections of sound, text, and performance, often extending beyond music into politically and historically charged territories. Alongside his creative projects, he has worked as a sound assistant at ÉSAAA – École Supérieure d’Art Annecy-Alpes (2022–2024), supporting studio and stage productions. His discography includes multiple physical releases: CURE (Horse, I’m Virus, 2023, vinyl), 3arus/3arin (Horizon Liquide, 2023, cassette), and ++ (Horse, I’m Virus, 2019, vinyl).
