I have been playing music all my life, but have focused on the sitar for the past 20 years. I started my tuition with Mehboob Nadeem of the Enayat Khan gharana, but also learned from Tarak Nath Mishra of the Benares gharana, I still continue my learning with Ramprapanna Bhattacharya. Seven years experience doing session work for a wide range of projects - from Jazz, World and Electronic to Folk, Rock and Reggae. Feel assured of a competent, professional approach regarding not just the sound quality and musicianship but also regarding deadlines and clear communication of ideas. I am also performing regularly, having finished a round of concerts in the south of Spain with Dipak Chakraborty, tabla maestro from Kolkata. In 2024 I also performed in the prestigious Sarat Sadan hall in Howrah, Kolkata.
