I grew up on a farm in Saurbær í Dölum and have spent my career working with children and young people across teaching, training and youth work. I have built on that experience with riding instructor qualifications from Hólar University, a B.Ed. in Teacher Education and a Master of Teaching (MT) programme at the University of Akureyri, alongside certified qualifications in digital marketing and project management leadership. In my work, I focus on creating safe, nurturing environments where everyone has the opportunity to grow. As head supervisor of the Ozon Youth Centre, I have developed structured leisure programmes, led staff and coordinated international collaboration through Erasmus+. As a teacher and instructor, I have taught diverse age groups for over two decades. My strengths include strong interpersonal awareness, positive and purposeful leadership, and excellent digital skills.
