I studied graphic design in Costa Rica and motion graphics in Spain, focused on advertising and branding. Within this I have carried out several projects for brands such as Telefónica, Movistar, Amazon, Heinz and McDonald´s, as well as the design of the label for the national brand Cacique, from Costa Rica or packaging design for Dos Pinos Cooperative.
Since my childhood, I fell madly in love with visual art, both with the different techniques and with the graphic concepts. I learned different methods such as pencil drawing, charcoal, pastel chalk, and inking, being influenced first of all by the world of North American books and comics. Later, I enjoyed learning color techniques such as oil painting, watercolor and acrylic, as well as Chinese ink and its well-known gouache. Recently, I am learning 3D modeling in Blender.
However, it was with the passage of time that I realized that my true love was towards stories, characters and animation. Influenced by Disney, Pixar, Dreamworks and Sony Animation movies, or by the oriental style of anime, I discovered in animation my true north to follow.
Currently, I am starting my own self-taught 2D and 3D animation learning process. I hope soon to be able to launch my own animation studio and share endless great epic stories with the world.
Talk us and tell me your story!
