My working life has been dominated by my role as co-director/lead artist of environmental arts group Red Earth, together with my partner Caitlin Easterby, creating unique landscape-based installation and performance events in the UK and abroad. Red Earth has made a significant contribution to the evolution and understanding of interdisciplinary site-specific arts practice. My career began in the heady and experimental 1980’s and I have worked in the outdoor arts sector, literally in the field, for most of my professional career. My experience and skills cover the artistic spectrum and include physical performer, actor, dancer, musician and clown; project leader, director and producer; visual artist, band front man, TV presenter and teacher. I value research, collaboration, flexibility, risk taking and integrity as essential to the creation of high quality work.
