Lead the agency’s digital design practice after rejoining GOOD Agency to drive a new digital positioning. Spearheaded the launch of a refreshed visual identity and website, and led ongoing digital projects for clients including WSET (a multi-language e-commerce site in 15 languages), Humanity Insured, London Business School, and others.     The challenge

    GambleAware are the leading charity of gambling harms education, prevention, early intervention, and treatment across the UK. The severity of gambling addiction has grown hugely in the last 20 years:

    0.5% of the adult population (250K people) are likely to have some form of gambling addiction, with 3.8% of adults (2.2M people) either problem gamblers or at risk of addiction.

    The previous site was a content heavy resource that suffered from baffling navigation, poor architecture and a terrible user experience. It had a significant drop-off rate and referral requests for intervention were frustratingly low. A rebrand had been commissioned and help was urgently needed to rebuild the site - radically improving user journey(s), access to treatment and UX site-wide.

    We began from scratch - using discovery sessions to identify multiple audience types, user stories and an array of journeys. Only then could I create a wholly new site architecture and functional specification before beginning the task of wireframing and testing a significantly large product such as this.

    This is the largest scale digital product I’ve worked on - with numerous complexities, including integrating a nationwide service finder database, 100’s of publications, online questionnaires, videos, self-help tools and an architecture of 1,000+ pages.

    User and stakeholder testing proved overwhelmingly positive, with little in the way of iteration required. Once the bespoke illustrations were in place it finally took shape and after 12 months was ready to go-live.
    The success of the new site has been incredible - with a huge uplift in traffic, return visits and referrals to local gambling support networks.
