I created a visually engaging children’s book design for A Sparkly Sneeze Adventure, featuring high-quality kids book illustration and a professionally designed front and back cover. This KDP book design includes vibrant colors, soft lighting, and expressive characters to capture young readers’ attention. The project was crafted for authors and self-publishers looking for a standout children story book. My focus was on clean layout, consistent illustration style, and market-ready kids book cover design optimized for Amazon KDP success.
Created vibrant, engaging illustrations and book design for a children’s story centered on autism awareness and emotional development. The project, “Journi Leads the Way,” features expressive characters, storytelling visuals, and immersive environments to support young readers. Designed cover art, interior pages, and cohesive visual storytelling to enhance accessibility and emotional connection. Focused on kid-friendly, colorful, and inclusive design tailored for educational and family audiences.
Nuah and the Shiny Shoe is a heartwarming children’s story about confidence, self-discovery, and learning that true shine comes from within.
As both the editor and illustrator on this project, I worked closely with the manuscript to refine the emotional pacing, simplify language for early readers, and ensure the story flowed naturally across each spread. My goal was to preserve the core message while making it engaging and developmentally appropriate for children.
On the illustration side, I created expressive, character-driven visuals that enhanced the storytelling rather than distracting from it. The art style was designed to feel warm, inviting, and emotionally relatable, using soft compositions and child-friendly proportions to help young readers connect with Nuah’s journey.
Key Contributions:
• Manuscript editing for clarity, rhythm, and age-appropriate language
• Visual storytelling aligned with the emotional arc of the story
• Character design focused on expression and relatability
• Consistent illustration style across all spreads
• Print-ready formatting for publication
This project strengthened my ability to merge storytelling psychology with visual creativity, ensuring that both words and images work together to leave a lasting impression on young readers.
In this project, I served as both the Children’s Book Editor and Lead Illustrator for an adventure-themed picture book. My role focused on elevating the story’s clarity, emotional impact, and visual appeal while maintaining a cohesive, child-friendly tone throughout.
I provided full editorial support, including developmental editing, line editing, and proofreading, to strengthen pacing, character consistency, and overall readability. Alongside the editorial work, I created a complete suite of watercolor-style illustrations—from early concept sketches to polished final artwork—designed to capture the wonder and excitement of the story’s world.
To complete the book, I also handled cover design, interior layout, and delivered fully formatted, print-ready files optimized for both digital and KDP publishing.
